What does Haworth AI stand for?
Haworth AI formerly SMED International was named for its founder Mogens Smed who started the company in Calgary, Alberta in 1983, although his family's history of furniture making goes back to its early European roots. These architectural interior products stand for quality and flexibility and are sold throughout the world.

Are Haworth AI products easy to reconfigure?
Haworth AI architectural products and furniture are designed with flexibility in mind to provide virtually limitless design and reconfiguration options. CIS can assist a client with its reconfiguration needs at any time after the initial installation. In addition, as a part of the installation process for large office spaces, CIS can provide training to facility managers and staff to handle future reconfigurations internally.
How durable are Haworth AI products?
Designed for the active work environment, Haworth AI products are built to last. Haworth also provides an extensive warranty and Service Agreement with each of its products. Constructive Interior Solutions will take care of any service calls or warranty issues for you. And, regardless of how many new products Haworth AI creates, its existing product lines will never become obsolete. Everything Haworth AI designs is compatible with what came before.

The LEGS® furniture products work in conjunction with NEXUS™ Flooring so you can run voice, data, and electrical cable from the floor to the desktop without the mess and chaos of traditional systems. An eight wire, four circuit electrical system provides up to four duplex outlets per leg. Stackability allows height changes without interrupting power and data runs, minimizing downtime during reconfiguration or workspace updates.

What products are available for my healthcare environment?
The LifeSCIENCE™ line of Haworth AI products are designed to meet the needs of any healthcare facility. Integrated acoustic solutions help assure privacy and confidentiality in individual rooms. LifeSPACE™ walls and doors can be lead-lined for x-ray rooms. Mechanical access panels accommodate plumbing, electrical, oxygen and vacuum systems. And, utility rooms and labs can be equipped with plumbing, power and data connections.
Clutter is a problem in our open office environment. Any ideas?
IDEAS™ is the name of one Haworth AI product line designed to deal with the issues of organization and storage. The Dashboard accessories include paper trays, binder bins, snapshot frames, accessory trays, CD and disk holders, pencil troughs, and more. Each piece is designed to mount above the desktop, leaving the surface clear and free and of clutter. Under the desktop, Pelican® drawers and articulating keyboards provide space-saving, clutter-free storage options.
Are there office design options for warehouse space?
For those areas with no ceilings, or very high ceilings, the Chinook™ ceiling beam system allows you to have office space of any size and style, in any environment. The system integrates with Haworth AI's LifeSPACE™ Walls to provide unlimited options to meet your warehouse or studio office needs.
